GETTING STARTED
Go to START button
Choose PROGRAMS > WALTDISNEY > DISNEYTHEMES
Pick one of 5 themes; Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Goofy or Pluto by clicking on name.
A Themes control panel will open of the character you picked.
Before you click OK you might want to save your current windows settings.
You can do this by clicking on the down arrow next to the name and
select "Current Windows Settings" Click on "Save As" button.
Now click on down arrow to the right of "Current Windows Settings"
Select the Disney Character and click "Apply" or "OK" at the bottom of the window.
You can now enjoy your computer with Mickey and his friends.
To change to another character just go START > PROGRAMS > WALTDISNEY > DISNEYTHEMES
and pick another character.
ICONS
Most versions of windows will install New Icons for "My Computer", "My Documents",
"Network Neighborhood" and both stages of the "Recycle Bin".
If they did not install you can go to Display in the control panel
START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY
You can change your icons by selecting the Effects tab
Click on the icon you want to change and click on "Change Icon" button.
You can find Mickey Icons in C:\PROGRAM FILES\PLUS!\THEMES\MICKEY MOUSE
The same is true for the other characters
SOUNDS
Most of the standard sounds will automatically install.
You can change sounds by going to Sounds in the control panel
START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > SOUNDS
You can add or remove a sound
Select a sound top window
Its path will display in the name window
Choose "Browse..." button and go to C:\PROGRAM FILES\PLUS!\THEMES\MICKEY MOUSE
All of the Mickey sounds will be in this folder
The same is true for the other characters
Select the new sound and click on Apply.
SCREEN SAVER
You can change your screen saver by double clicking on the Mickey screen saver Icon on your desktop or START > PROGRAMS > WALTDISNEY > WALTDISNEY SCREEN SAVER.
There is a screen saver help file you can access in the control panel.
WALLPAPER
You can change your wallpaper by double clicking on the Mickey screen saver Icon on your desktop or START > PROGRAMS > WALTDISNEY > WALTDISNEY SCREEN SAVER selecting the Wallpaper-Desktop tab and selecting a new image.
FONTS AND WINDOW COLORS
By going to Display in the control panel
START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY
You can change your FONTS AND WINDOW COLORS by selecting the appearances tab
Click on the item you want to change and you can make the change you want.
STARTUP AND SHUTDOWN SCREENS
If your startup and shutdown screens did not automatically change with your new theme then you may have to do it manually.
Look on your "C" drive for 3 files Logo.sys, Logow.sys, and Logos.sys
Rename them Logo.old, Logow.old and Logos.old
Now go to C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\Mickey Mouse
Inside this folder you will find 3 files named Logo.sys, Logow.sys, and Logos.sys
Copy these files and past them on your "C" drive where the .old files are.
If you want another character just look in that character's folder in Plus!.
Once you have saves the system Logo files as .old you can just copy and replace the character logo files because you will always have the original in the characters folder.
POINTERS
You can change individual pointers by going to Mouse in the control panel
START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > MOUSE
the Mouse Properties window will open. Select Pointers tab.
choose a pointer and click on Browse.
Look in C:\PROGRAM FILES\PLUS!\THEMES\MICKEY MOUSE
All of the Mickey pointers will be in this folder.
The same is true for the other characters
